Welsh Nationals
11 Aug 2013
Again Polly was first to enter the ring at Malvern, but this time at the Welsh nationals three days later. We had intended to retire Polly after Nps Champs and concentrate on some of the others, but as she is so easy to do and Alex enjoys riding her we decided to carry out the last few shows of the season. Unfortunately as this was planned we had missed our chance to enter her in the novice and the only class you could enter on the day was the Hoys qualifier. So little four year old Polly went into a Open Hoys at 9 am, yet again she tried her best, perhaps slightly novicey coming down the hill but made up for it with her fab transitions. She was the only novice in there and definately the youngest but she ended up a very credible eighth, we all love our Polly.

Next it was Kai and Coppellia, both competing for the ticket. Both went well although Cop's show was slightly novicey and didnt end up with a final placing. Although Kai ended up third and on reflection of the marks we found out the first three were on joint marks with Kai the highest conformation of the class, but the other two had the higher ride. Unfortuantely he missed out on the qualification, nationals was his last show this season. Poor Kai he only had a month long season this year, due to the babies!!!
