Towerlands Silver Medal Show
24 Mar 2013

Thistledown Golden Zumba and Alex pictured winning the two year old filly class.

What a start to the day, up at four, ponies all loaded and the lorry wouldnt start. Jack and Pittman both had a go with the jump leads, sparks flying, at which point Mum intervened and had the unfortunate task of waking Dad up, he wasnt amused! Mr Grumpy came down with the torch only to find the battery was dead on that aswell! Things were looking bleak. But by 5:15 we were on the road!!!
Well......we had the most fantastic day at Towerlands Show. It was our first show of the year and we decided to take Alex's two year old filly Thistledown Golden Zumba and Kate's Yearling sec C Menai Choir Girl for a spin out ready for the season ahead.
Zumba won her class and was then crowned Youngstock Champion. We were over the moon but waited patiently for the next round.  Zumba entered the ring for the third time and pulled out all the stops, she floated around the ring and was rewarded with the Overall Championship for the section B's.
After a long day it was time for the Supreme Championship. We were all hoping that on her first show of the year she wouldn't be too tired, but yet again she rose to the occasion unbelievably gaining Reserve Overall Supreme of Show. What an achievement for a Section B two year old filly in "Cob Country" !
On the way out of the ring it was so lovely to have so many positive comments about Zumba.

Many Thanks to Ceri Fell and all of the organisers for such a fantastic and well run show, especially in the snowy conditions.
After a great show low and behold the lorry wouldnt start again! Many thanks to Georgie Deller for the Jump start.

ALEX'S FIRST SILVER MEDAL AND ZUMBA'S FIRST SILVER!!!!!!
